Makeup Routine and Products

 Makeup Routine / Products

I have always loved makeup, I used to spend a lot of time watching makeup tutorials. One of my favorite youtubers is Kelly Strack. I learned a lot of tips from her. https://www.youtube.com/@KellyStrack I wanted to share my everyday makeup routine and what products I use.

Facial Prep

My favorite face wash I have been using for a few years now is Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Cleanser. I bought it at Macys. I really like this cleanser because it gets really foaming when you use it and a little goes a long way. After I wash my face I always use a moisturizer, which lately has been Clinique Dramatically Moisturizer which can also be found at Macy’s or Ulta.

Face

All of my other products can be found at Ulta. After my moisturizer sets in I apply the Elf Poreless Primer. I really like this primer because it gives you a really smooth base and fills in all your pores. This primer is only $10. To cover my dark circles under my eyes I use HD Pro - Corrector Concealer. To blend out all of my liquid products I use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I usually do not wear foundation, I just use concealer under my eyes and down the middle of my face. When I do use foundation I really like the Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation. My go to concealer that I use every day is Too Faced Born This Way, Concealer in the shade Vanilla. The tube this product comes in is really large and has lasted me a good while. When I’m done with foundation and concealer, I set my face and under eyes with KVD Lock It - Setting Powder. To bronze my skin I use Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer and contour with the Clinique Contour Stick and Hoola Matte Powder Bronzer. I usually don’t wear much blush, but lately I have been using the Nars Blush in shade Orgasm.

Eyes

Eye makeup has always been my favorite. However, my advice would be to spend your money on a good foundation because that is what makes your face look the cleanest. I would buy a good foundation over an expensive eyeshadow pallet. To begin my eye makeup I apply the Urban Decay Anti Aging EyeShadow Primer. With this primer you can use any shadow from anywhere and it will not budge. I never wear eyeshadow without this product. For everyday use I have been using the Taupe Color Pop Eyeshadow. It is affordable and has a lot of neutral tones. My go to eye liner that never smudges and last all day is the Sex Kitten liner from Tarte. I use the liquid liner on top and the regular liner on my water line. My eyes water a lot and this is the only line that I can use that will last me all day. It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara is by far my favorite. I always wear fake eyelashes. My everyday lashes are  Half Lashes Natural Look Corner End lash Pack 206 from Amazon.

Lips and Other Products

I do not really wear lip gloss or lipstick but sometimes I wear Tarte Lip Plumping Gloss in the shade Ginger. To remove my makeup I really like the Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover. I rub that all over my face and it melts the makeup away. Then I use Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes from Neutrogena before I wash my face. Before bed if I remember to apply GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum to grow my lashes, I have seen good results when I remember to use it.

Fade Into You - L.A. Ferro Book Review

L. A. Ferro stole all my attention with her book Fade Into You. This is my second book I have read by this author and I was enthralled by the adventure she took her main character Mackenzie on. This book is full of suspense. There were a lot of characters who interacted with each other in many different ways. Each of them with their own skeletons, it was almost difficult to keep track. I thought I was going to have to make a character map. Over all, the way Ferro tied it all together was fascinating. The main characters Mackenzie and Connor did not choose each other, though really they did at the very beginning of the book, they didn’t have a choice in how their relationship began. Forced into an arranged marriage, to protect people who meant the world to them, the characters were determined to have an expiration date on their marriage. The walls they put up, slowly (very slowly) began to crumble as they fell in love. Both of them had secrets and needed answers. This book shows you how...

Salt by L.A. Ferro Book Review

BOOK REVIEW: Salt by L.A. Ferro will captivate all of your time. This was my first book I have read by this author and she did not disappoint. Salt is a fiction book that revolves around an age gapped romance. The main female character, Cameron Salt, went to live with her dad’s best friend Everett Callahan, when she was 17 years old, after the death of her parents. Her dad trusted his best friend to look out for her. Cameron always loved Everett. When she turned 22, Everett started looking at her differently, he struggled with his attraction for her and trying to do the right thing by his best friend. I absolutely loved this book. The characters and storyline felt so real to me. I couldn’t put the book down. I really connected with the character Cameron, because I also lost a parent at a young age. There were a lot of resonating moments for me, especially when she talks about moving on, allowing yourself to live life and be happy. I was inspired by how she kept her faith, stayed posi...

My First Time Doing Art Therapy

My First Time Doing Art Therapy Anytime Art Therapy was suggested to me, I automatically dismissed the idea of it because I am not artistic at all. I can barely draw stick figures. I tried it for the first time this week, I signed up for a five week inner child workshop using art therapy and my first class was amazing. The class was really relaxing and I felt so good when I left. During the first session we used watercolors to draw a childhood memory. We began the class with “calm, safe place guided meditation”. Lynette turned off the lights, told us to get comfortable and she guided us through the meditation. After meditation, we filled out a paper about a childhood memory, then we were encouraged to use the water colors to paint that memory. When I meditated I visualized myself outside, laying in the sun, at Tappan Lake. I tied my safe place to when I was a child and we use to go there and now how I go there with my family I had a lot of resonating moments during the class. Whe...
